Don't be afraid to get rid of things during composition. It's all about capturing improvisation. bandcamp page The lenia in this project are made with godot shaders. Check out the project file if you are interested. https://elliotbridges.itch.io/melodies-and-monkeys-godot-project-archive Where i learned about them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kiBYjvyojQ AUDIO SORCES diy electric cello, voice, spinning gong, SOFTWARE Blockhead 0.40.1 (all audio processing and composition), Godot 3.5 (for visuals and animation), Asprite (image editing), Reaper (some compression, limiting, and eq), SimpleScreenRecorder (for recording godot), Shotcut (used to put together final audio and video), HARDWARE Thinkpad P50 laptop, Logitech MX Vertical mouse, Zoom U-44 (audio interface for cello and headphones, the laptop's DAC sounds strange), Blue Yeti Mic (recording voice), HUION H1161 pen track pad (cutting out images), This is too many objects. Blockhead would keep crashing. Godot's viewports were as finicky as ever. Stupid dumb Shotcut would not export video at 60hz. If the Zoom gets bonked, the usb connection flakes out.
